Personal data

Privacy policy

Your privacy is at the heart of Tenutia. We collect the bare minimum.

This translation is provided for convenience. The French version of this page prevails.

Data controller

[TON NOM ET PRÉNOM], [ADRESSE POSTALE]. Contact: contact@tenutia.com.

We process your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, if you live in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we store on our servers

  • Your email address, your first name or nickname (optional) and your encrypted password: to manage your account.
  • The chapters you have completed and your quiz scores: to show your progress.
  • Your subscription status and your Stripe customer ID: to give you access to paid content.
  • If you use the mobile app: a login token and, for in-app purchases, the purchase reference sent by Google Play or the App Store.
  • Your IP address after a failed login attempt, kept for 24 hours: to block attacks.

Simply having a Tenutia account may reveal an interest in sexual health. We therefore handle all your data with the discretion due to sensitive data: it is never sold or used for advertising, and the description on your bank statement stays neutral.

What we never store

Your personal assessment, your thought journal and your habit tracker stay only on your device (local storage). They are never sent to our servers. You can delete them at any time from the tools or by clearing the site data in your browser.

Why we process this data

To perform our contract with you (your account and purchases), to protect the service against abuse (legitimate interest) and to meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting ones.

Service providers and transfers

  • Infomaniak hosts the site and its database in Switzerland.
  • Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your card details. Stripe may transfer some data to the United States with appropriate safeguards (Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
  • Google and Apple process purchases made in the mobile app, under their own privacy policies.

Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Cookies

The site uses two cookies that are essential to its operation: the session cookie, for logging in, and a cookie that remembers the chosen language (one year). There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics tools, so no consent banner is needed.

Retention period

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from the My account page, it is erased immediately. Payment records are kept for ten years, as required by Swiss law (art. 958f of the Code of Obligations).

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing, restrict its use and receive it in a common format. Write to contact@tenutia.com: we reply within 30 days. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country.
